Stellar Multi-Estate Mobile Clinic: Our Wheels Have Arrived!
Another dream has come true for Stellar – we’ve finally received the bus that will be converted into a mobile clinic in the New Year. Now it’s going to be easier for Sister Kim Roux, our resident medical officer, to provide more efficient and private basic medical care to Stellar Multi-Estate farm workers and their families.
In October alone, Kim had 119 consultations, 37 of which were tests or procedures. She treats a range of conditions, from ear, nose and throat problems to chronic illnesses like hypertension, and even depression. The mobile clinic is going to make Kim’s working day go a whole lot smoother. Instead of lugging crates of medical equipment around the various farms in her little Toyota hatchback, Sister Kim will be able to consult with her patients in a fully-kitted clinic on wheels. Her patients will also be able to enjoy complete privacy and shelter from the weather.
